The Milano Romolo stop is a stop on the Southern Belt Railway within the urban area of Milan .

There is a possibility to change to line 2 of the subway .

history

The Romolo Metro Station opened on April 13, 1985 and was then the southern terminus of Line 2 . In 1994 the line was extended further south towards Famagosta .

During the construction of the underground, it was decided to build a stop on the southern belt railway (at that time only used by goods traffic); the entire area was to serve as a traffic junction for the southeastern metropolitan area.

The stop was opened on June 19, 2006 , two years after the Milan S-Bahn went into operation .
