The USNS Salvor (T-ARS-52) is a seaworthy American salvage ship of the Safeguard class of the Military Sealift Command of the United States Navy (since January 12, 2007). It is commissioned as the United States Naval Ship (USNS) and belongs to the US Navy Combat Logistics Support Force .

It was built in the Peterson Builders shipyard , Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin . It was launched in 1984. The hull is made of steel and reinforced at the bow for use in icy areas. His home port is Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.

It is powered by four diesel engines (Caterpillar 399), the output is 3.1  megawatts on the shaft, which corresponds to 4,200 shaft horsepower (shp). The two propellers are variable pitch propellers with Kort nozzles . The LOA is 77.7 meters, the displacement is 3,335 tons loaded, 2,509 tons unloaded. The maximum speed is 15 knots. The occupation is mostly civil (26 civilians, 4 soldiers).
