Ubuhlebezwe ( English Ubuhlebezwe Local Municipality ) is a municipality in the Harry Gwala District , KwaZulu-Natal Province in South Africa . In 2011 the population was 101,691 on a total area of ​​1,628 km². The seat of the municipal administration is in Ixopo . Zamokwakhe Nxumalo is the mayor. The name of the community is the isiZulu word for "the beauty of the land".

The only town in the municipality is Ixopo.

In 2011 the community had 101,691 inhabitants. Of these, 97.5% were black, 1.2% colored and 0.8% white.

The first language was 90.9% isiZulu , 3.1% English, 1.5% isiXhosa and 1.3% isiNdebele .
