Udo Kuckartz

Udo Kuckartz (born March 20, 1951 in Aachen ) is a professor emeritus for educational sciences at the Philipps University of Marburg .

Life

Kuckartz grew up in Aachen and graduated from the Rhein-Maas-Gymnasium in Aachen in 1969 . He studied sociology and political science at RWTH Aachen University , and did his doctorate in sociology at TU Berlin with a dissertation on computers and verbal data. Opportunities for innovation in social science research techniques and qualified as a professor at the Free University of Berlin in the field of empirical educational science . From 1979 to 1984 Kuckartz was a research assistant at the Faculty of Education at the Free University of Berlin and from 1984 to 1999 he worked there as a research assistant. From 1992 to 1993 he was a lecturer for methods of empirical social research at the Institute for Sociology at the TU Dresden and from 1995 to 1996 he represented the chair for methods and evaluation at the Institute for Rehabilitation Education at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

Udo Kuckartz was Professor of Empirical Education at the Philipps University of Marburg . His work focuses on the computer-aided analysis of qualitative data, social-scientific environmental research and educational research . In 1989 he developed the text analysis program MAXQDA .
