The Udren Zom is a mountain in the Hindu Kush .
location
The 7140 m (according to other sources 7131 m or 7108 m or 7080 m ) high northern summit of the Udren Zom is located south of the ridge that forms the border between the southern Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Afghan province of Badachschan in the north. The northern peak of the Udren Zom is one of the highest peaks in the Hindu Kush.
Ascent history
The first ascent of the north summit was made on August 19, 1964 by the two Austrians Gerald Gruber and Rudolph Pischinger over the north face. Horst Schindelbacher reached the summit on August 22nd. The 7080 m high central summit was first climbed in 1977. The 7050 m high south summit is even further south . The first ascent of the south summit took place in 1967. The 7083 m high Kohe Shakawr is located 2 km north of the north summit and is connected to it by a 6360 m high saddle.
