Udscharma ( Georgian უჯარმა ) is a village in Georgia . It is located in the Sagaredscho municipality of the Kakheti region on the right bank of the Iori River .
It is 22 kilometers from the city of Sagaredscho and 36 kilometers from the Georgian capital Tbilisi . 445 people live in the village of Udscharma (2014). Udscharma was an important political center of the country in the Middle Ages. In the 5th century, a residence was built in Udscharma by the Georgian King Vakhtang I Gorgassali . In the village there is Usharma fortress .
