Ugamak Island is an island of the Krenitzin Islands , a subgroup of the Fox Islands in the eastern Aleutian Islands , Alaska . The island is over 8 km long and is about 60 km east of Akutan Island . The Ugamak Strait separates Ugamak from Kaligagan Island in the west. In the south of the island is Aiktak Iceland and the small sea lions -Insel Round Iceland .
Ugamak is an Aleutian name, handed down by Innokenti Weniaminow in 1840, which means "ceremony island" according to RH Geoghegan.
