Ugochukwu Ukah (born January 18, 1984 in Parma ) is a Nigerian national soccer player who also has Italian and Ghanaian citizenship. He is currently under contract with Penang FA in Malaysia .

Career

society

In his youth, Ukah played for the teams of AC Parma and AC Reggiana . After some engagements with lower-class Italian clubs in series C and D and a year and a half engagement with the Queens Park Rangers , where he could not prevail, he moved to Poland in the summer of 2007 to the club Widzew Łódź in the Ekstraklasa . After relegation in 2008, he led the team back to the top division as an important regular player in 2010. On May 9, 2012, the player and the club agreed to terminate the contract that was in effect until mid-2013. In mid-August 2012, Ukah moved to league rivals Jagiellonia Białystok . In the 2014/15 season he was under contract with FK Čukarički and won the Serbian Cup there . Then followed a season with the Greek club AEL Kalloni on the island of Lesbos .

Since 2016 he has been playing for the Malaysian club Penang FA, which has since been relegated to the 2nd division . In his two first division seasons he came there to 26 games in which he could score a goal.

National team

Ukah was nominated for the first time for the Nigerian national football team in 2011 and played his first international match in the friendly against Zambia (2-0) on November 15, 2011 when he came on for Dele Adeleye in the 57th minute .
