Ayodele "Dele" Adeleye (born December 25, 1988 in Lagos , Nigeria ) is a Nigerian football player .

Career

He started his career with the Nigerian Shooting Stars FC . As a central defender, he took part in the Junior World Cup in 2005, where his team took second place. His good performance made European clubs aware of him and he moved to Sparta Rotterdam in 2006 at the age of 17 . In 2008 he was in the Olympic selection of his country and won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing . Since 2009 he has played in the Nigerian senior team . In summer 2010 he took part in the World Cup in South Africa. With only one point, Nigeria were eliminated in the preliminary round as bottom of the table, with Adeleye not being used.

After the World Cup he moved to Metalurg Donetsk .
