The Uhlenbachtal is a nature reserve with a size of around 44.5 hectares in the Schwarzenmoor district of Herford . The name of the area with the number HF-017 is the Uhlenbach flowing in the valley .

Flora and fauna

The area lies in the middle of the Ravensberger Land, which is characterized by intensive arable farming . Typical for the Ravensberger Land is the form of a widely branched sieve system with a box profile. The slope steps are up to 6 meters high. The peripheral areas are home to near-natural beech forests . The wet grassland in the valley includes cabbage thistle meadows and reed beds in intensively used fish ponds and some near-natural small bodies of water.
