The area lies in the middle of the Ravensberger Land, which is characterized by intensive arable farming . Typical for the Ravensberger Land is the form of a widely branched sieve system with a box profile. The slope steps are up to 6 m high. The peripheral areas are home to near-natural beech forests . The wet grassland in the valley grassland is wet fallow, among other things cabbage thistle meadows and reeds at intensively used fish ponds and some near-natural small bodies of water.
