The Ukrina ( Serbian - Cyrillic Укрина ) is a 119 km long right tributary of the Save in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina .

Run

It arises from the confluence of the two source rivers Velika Ukrina (Great Ukrina) and Mala Ukrina (Little Ukrina). The Great Ukrina rises on the northern slope of the Uzlomac Mountains east of Banja Luka . The smaller source river comes from the Javorova Mountains. The length of the river from the source of the Velika Ukrina to the confluence with the Sava near Koraće, 10 km southwest of Bosanski Brod , is 119.3 km.

The most important (right) tributary of the Ukrina is the Ilova . The city of Derventa lies on the lower reaches of the Ukrina .

Catchment area

The catchment area of ​​the Ukrina covers 1515 km² and belongs entirely to the Republika Srpska .
