Ulaniw ( Ukrainian Уланів ; Polish Ułanów / Ulanuw ; Russian Уланов Ulanow ) is a village in the northwest of the Ukrainian Oblast Vinnytsia with about 3000 inhabitants (2004).
The 1434 founded and 1552 first written mention the village is the administrative center of the eponymous district municipality in Rajon Khmilnyk to which even the villages Woroniwzi ( Воронівці ⊙ ) with about 690 inhabitants, Pahurzi ( Пагурці ⊙ ) with about 600 inhabitants, Tarasky ( Тараски ⊙ ) with about 520 inhabitants and Tschepeli ( Чепелі ⊙ ) belong to about 190 residents.
The village is located at an altitude of 262 m on the bank of the Snywoda ( Снивода ), a 58 km long, left tributary of the Southern Bug and on the regional road P-31 and the territorial road T-02-38 .
Ulaniv is located 21 km northeast of the Khmilnyk district center and 78 km northwest of the Vinnytsia oblast center .
