The Ulba Crest ( Kazakh Үлбі жотасы ; Russian Ульбинский хребет ) is a mountain range in Kazakhstan area Eastern Kazakhstan in the western Altai .

The Ulba ridge runs in a west-east direction southwest of the Cholsun mountain range and west of the Chamir river valley. It has a length of about 100 km. The Ulba ridge is cut through by the Buchtarma tributary Turgyssyn . The mountain range reaches a maximum height of 2,371  m in the Verkhnyaya Ulba (Верхняя Ульба) . The mountains consist of sandstone , limestone , crystalline mica slate and granite . The mountain range has gently rising peaks. The lower slopes are covered by steppe vegetation. At higher altitudes there is mixed forest, in the northeast mainly coniferous forest.
