The Turgyssyn ( Kazakh Тұрғысын өзені ; Russian Тургусун ) is a right tributary of the Buchtarma in eastern Kazakhstan .
The Turgyssyn arises not far from the Russian border at the confluence of its two source rivers Great Turgyssyn (left) and Little Turgyssyn (right) in the Ulba ridge , a mountain range in the southwest Altai . The Turgyssyn flows mainly in a southerly direction through the mountains and reaches the Buchtarma northwest of the city Syrjanowsk , shortly before its confluence with the Buchtarma reservoir . The place of the same name Turgyssyn is located 2 km west of the mouth on the right bank of the Buchtarma. The Turgyssyn has a length of about 40 km. It drains an area of approx. 1350 km². The mean discharge at the Kuticha gauge , 13 km above the mouth, is 45.3 m³ / s. The Turgyssyn is mainly fed by the snowmelt . In the months with the highest discharge, May and June, the mean monthly discharge is 158 m³ / s and 121 m³ / s, respectively.
