Ulf Bohla

Ulf Bohla (born May 11, 1943 in Bad Landeck , Silesia ) is a German business and industry manager .

From 1965 to 1970 he studied electrical engineering at the TU Hannover . Then he started as a Dipl.-Ing. at IBM Deutschland GmbH , where he became branch manager telecommunications in 1982. The following year he became assistant to the Chairman of the Board at IBM Corp. in Armonk , New York, USA. From 1985, again at IBM Germany, he was director of telecommunications and services and four years later rose to head of the IBM region in Northern Germany.

In 1991 he was appointed Vice President with responsibility for International Marketing Operations at IBM's American headquarters and, two years later, became General Manager for Telecommunications and Media at IBM Europe .

In July 1994 he switched to VEBA subsidiary Vebacom GmbH (from March 1997: o.tel.o ) in Düsseldorf , which had been founded two years earlier, where he took over the chairmanship of the management and was responsible for strategic planning, law, regulation and interconnection . In July 1998 Thomas Geitner succeeded him here.

Around 1996 he was a member of the Board of Directors of Cablecom Holding AG in Frauenfeld and around 1998 on the Board of Directors of the American company LHS.

At the New Identity Agency GbR founded in 1998 (since October 2000 a stock corporation under New Identity AG ) in Mainz , he became chairman of the supervisory board. He retired in May 2008.
