Ursula Haußmann (born May 17, 1953 in Neckartenzlingen ; † May 19, 2012 ) was a German politician ( SPD ), she was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament from 1997 to 2011.

education and profession

Ursula Haußmann attended primary school in Neckartenzlingen and secondary school in Nürtingen . She then trained as a nurse in Esslingen am Neckar , passed the state examination in 1973 and then worked as a nurse in Heidenheim an der Brenz and later in Aalen .

Political activity

In Aalen she was a local councilor in the Ebnat district from 1989 to 2005 and a city councilor from 1994 to 1997. Since 1992, Haussmann was also a member of the SPD district executive in the Ostalb district . From July 1996 Haußmann worked for Ulrich Pfeifle's constituency , who had received a second mandate for the Aalen constituency in the 1996 elections to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament , but resigned it in October 1997. Thereupon Ursula Haußmann moved up for him on November 3, 1997 as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. There she was spokeswoman for health, social and addiction policy for the SPD parliamentary group and was able to defend her mandate in the Aalen constituency in 2001 and 2006. In 2011 she became seriously ill and was therefore unable to complete the election campaign before the 2011 state elections and could no longer defend her second mandate.

In addition to her work as a member of the state parliament, Ursula Haußmann was district chairwoman of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics (SGK) e. V. Ostalb and deputy chairwoman of the Turngau Ostwürttemberg.

In 2013 the "Ulla Haußmann Memorial Prize" was launched, which is awarded annually by the football social club Kinder von der Straße eV .
