Ulrich Pfeifle

Ulrich Pfeifle (born October 31, 1942 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Reutlingen, Pfeifle studied law in Tübingen and Hamburg. From 1970 to 1975 he was employed at the Reutlingen district office and then at the Tübingen regional council. He has been working as a lawyer since 2006. Pfeifle is married and has three children.

Pfeifle was Lord Mayor of Aalen from 1976 to 2005 . From 1996 to 1997 he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , where he represented the second mandate of the Aalen constituency. In addition, he is a member of the district council of the Ostalbkreis and the association assembly of the East Wuerttemberg region .

Pfeifle is 2nd Deputy Chairman of the Administrative Board of the Kreissparkasse Ostalb .

Honors

The Aalen University of Applied Sciences made Pfeifle an honorary senator. The city of Tatabánya granted him honorary citizenship in 2004 , as did the city of Aalen in 2005.

On March 17, 2013, the Aalen Greuthalle was renamed Ulrich-Pfeifle-Halle after a city council resolution .

In 1992 Pfeifle was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon, in 2002 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.

In 2017 Pfeifle was awarded the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic in the “Cavaliere” (knight) class.
