Ulrich Leykam

Ulrich Leykam (born September 12, 1948 in Truppach ) is a German church musician .

Leykam studied Protestant church music with Viktor Lukas and Almut Rößler in Bayreuth and Düsseldorf . In 1980 he passed his concert exam for organ. Since 1974 he has been a church musician in the Evangelical Easter parish (until the merger in 2008 Melanchthon parish) in Düsseldorf . A special accent of his work is the carillon of the Melanchthon Church .

As a harpsichordist, Leykam is a member of the Melanchthon Ensemble , a chamber music ensemble that was founded in Düsseldorf in 1998. On October 13, 2013, he was retired in a service with Mozart's sparrow mass.
