Ulrich Schneider (born August 14, 1958 in Oberhausen ) is a German social functionary and has been managing director of the German Parity Welfare Association since 1999 .

Life

Ulrich Schneider's father worked as a beer driver and as an employee of the security company. Schneider studied education at the Universities of Bonn and Münster and received his doctorate from the University of Münster.

At the German Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband he worked as a social science advisor, GDR representative, managing main advisor, managing director for the areas of fundamental issues, committees and communication, before becoming its managing director in 1999. Schneider appears on television talk shows such as Anne Will and is an interviewee. Critical Schneider expressed about under the Agenda 2010 carried out reforms .

Schneider is married, has two children and plays privately in a rock band. Schneider has been a member of Die Linke since 2016 .
