Marianne Grewe-Partsch

Marianne Grewe-Partsch (born January 6, 1913 in Freiburg ; † February 22, 2004 ) was a German media scientist , lawyer and university professor for communication psychology and media education .

Life and work

She completed her law degree from 1932–1936 in Freiburg , Frankfurt am Main, Berlin and Königsberg. In 1936 she received her doctorate as Dr. jur. She first worked from 1938–1940 at the Berlin administrative office for industrial cartels. 1940–1943 she was employed by the Reichsanstalt für Film und Bild in the literature department . As head of the Berlin branch of Kohlhammer Verlag 1943–1945 she organized its relocation to Stuttgart . After 1945 she ran the HS Köhler publishing house there for five years. This was followed by a family phase from 1950–1957, in which Grewe-Partsch was not professionally active because of the upbringing of their children. In the meantime, she volunteered in the Association of Women Academics, in the Women's Ring and in Theodor Eschenburg's Association of Citizens in the State . Political education was important to her all her life. In 1957 she took on a position as a research assistant for the German Adult Education Association in Frankfurt am Main.

In the 1960s, a long-term cooperation began with the psychologist Hertha Sturm , who from 1963 built up an education and training department for ZDF . From 1961 Grewe headed the program editorships for women’s radio and adult education at Hessischer Rundfunk .

Since 1943 she was married to the international lawyer and diplomat Wilhelm Grewe.
