Ulrich Schwab (theologian)

Ulrich Schwab (* 1957 in Nuremberg ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

He studied pedagogy and Protestant theology in Munich and Hamburg (1983 Magister Artium (pedagogy) at LMU Munich and 1985 theological entrance examination ELKB ). After the vicariate (1985–1987) in Bad Füssing , he passed the theological examination and ordination Evangelical Luth in 1987 . Church in Bavaria. From 1987 to 1988 he was a student assistant at the Predigerseminar Nürnberg . From 1987 to 1990 he did a group dynamic training course in Shahdah . After receiving his doctorate in 1991 at the LMU Munich and his habilitation in 1994 at the LMU Munich, he was pastor in Wasserburg am Inn in 1994/1995 . From 1995 to 2001 he taught as a professor for practical theology at the Philipps University of Marburg . Since 2001 he has been professor for practical theology at LMU Munich. In 2004 he received the diploma in topic-centered interaction (TZI) according to Ruth Cohn and in 2010 the graduation in topic-centered interaction (TZI) according to Ruth Cohn.

Schwab is one of the editors of the magazine Pastoraltheologie and the book series Theologische Wissenschaft . From 1992 to 2003 he was a member of the Chamber for Education, Children and Young People of the EKD (including 1998–2003 as deputy chairman), from 2006 to 2012 a member of the regional synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria . His main research interests are the understanding of the role of full-time employees in youth work and inclusion as well as religious education.
