Ulrich Stücker

Ulrich Stücker (* 1966 in Wuppertal ) is a German municipal civil servant ( independent) and full-time mayor of the city of Wiehl in the Oberbergisches Kreis .

career

Stücker studied spatial planning at the University of Dortmund from 1987 to 1993 . He then completed a two-year apprenticeship for the higher civil engineering administration specializing in urban planning with a degree as a building assessor . From 1996 to 1998 he worked as a municipal building officer in the planning office of the city of Gummersbach, of which he became head in 1998. In 2002 the council of the city of Gummersbach elected Stücker as technical alderman and renewed the election for a further term in 2010. On June 1, 2014, Stücker was appointed first alderman and general representative of the mayor. In addition, from 2001 to 2015 he was managing director of the development company Gummersbach. In addition, he has chaired the association council of the agger association since September 2014.

In the local elections on September 13, 2015, Ulrich Stücker was the only candidate in Wiehl. He was elected mayor with 86.94 percent of the votes cast .

On a supraregional level, Stücker is a member of the specialist committees of the Association of Cities and Towns in North Rhine-Westphalia, such as the Committee on Environment and Consumer Protection. As an urban planner, he is a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Chamber of Architects . He is also a member of the German Academy for Urban Development and Regional Planning (DASL).

Awards

In 2015, Gummersbach awarded his former First Alderman Ulrich Stücker with the ring of honor of the Oberberg district town. He received the high appreciation primarily because of his services to the revitalization of an 18 hectare industrial wasteland, the " Steinmüller area ". In his laudation, Gummersbach's mayor Frank Helmenstein remarked that Stücker had "helped Gummersbach to become urban and central".
