Ulrike Apel-Haefs

Ulrike Apel-Haefs (born January 31, 1952 in Schmalkalden ; † February 9, 2009 ) was a German politician ( SPD ). She was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 1999 to 2000 and again since 2005 .

Life

Ulrike Apel-Haefs moved with her parents to Rheydt in 1958 . After graduating from high school in 1972, she studied history and German at the University of Düsseldorf . There she passed her state examination in 1980 . From 1980 to 1984 she worked as a research assistant at the history department of the University of Düsseldorf. According to the parliamentary group, she died after a long and serious illness.

Ulrike Apel-Haefs was married and lived in Korschenbroich .

Party political activity

Ulrike Apel-Haefs had been a member of the SPD since 1981, and since 1989 she has held the office of deputy chairwoman of the Korschenbroich city association. Between 1995 and 2007 she was treasurer of the district association of the SPD, since spring 2007 she was its chairman.

Political offices

Since 1989 Ulrike Apel-Haefs sat in the district council of the Rhine district of Neuss . There she was the second deputy district administrator since 2004 . From July 1, 1999 to June 1, 2000 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. She had moved up for Johannes Rau , who had been elected Federal President. Since June 8, 2005 she belonged again to the state parliament. She was a full member of the Main Committee and the Innovation, Science, Research and Technology Committee. She was a deputy member of the Labor, Health and Social Affairs Committee and the Interior Committee.

Others

Ulrike Apel-Haefs was a member of the administrative community of the local radio NE-WS 89.4 and a deputy member of the Technology Center Glehn.
