Ulrike Baur (* 1953 in Heidelberg ) is a German journalist and television director .

Life

Ulrike Baur studied German , Romance studies and political science with an MA. She completed her journalistic training at the Evangelical Press Service and at the Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR). Afterwards she worked as a radio author, presenter and freelance editor for various ARD cultural programs. Since 1989 Ulrike Baur has made a number of documentaries for the TV channels ARD , ARTE , ZDF and 3SAT . Your first films were made in Vietnam . From 1993 she traveled regularly to the war zones in the former Yugoslavia for years . She worked u. a. for ARTE themed evenings, the ARD series “ The Great Criminal Cases ”, “The Day as…” and from the start for the ZDF series “ 37 Degrees ”.
