Ulrike Borst

Ulrike Borst (* 1955 ) is a German psychologist , psychotherapist and head of the training institute for systemic therapy and counseling in Meilen (Switzerland).

Borst studied psychology and initially turned to brain research and electrophysiology. In 1986 she did her doctorate at the University of Konstanz on the subject of "The influence of temporal information on the" crossover "effect in chronic schizophrenics ". From 1989 to 1995 she worked at the Psychiatric Clinic in Münsterlingen as a ward psychologist and from 1995 to 2002 as a senior physician and head of quality management . From 2002 to 2007 she was in charge of corporate development in the Thurgau Psychiatric Services. Since 1998 she has been a member of the team of lecturers and supervisors at the training institute for systemic therapy and counseling in Meilen, which she took over in 2006. Since then she has also had her own practice in Zurich . Since 2008 she has been co-editor of the specialist journal Familiendynamik . Since 2013 she has been the 1st chairwoman of the Systemic Society .

Her work focuses on systemic individual, couple and family therapy, supervision, team and organizational development in psychiatry and in other organizations in the social and health sector.
