Ulrike Ehmig

Ulrike Ehmig (born November 15, 1969 in Mainz ) is a German scholar of antiquity .

Life

Ehmig studied classical archeology , Latin philology and ancient history at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Ruprecht Karls University Heidelberg . It was in 2000 in the subject history and culture of the Roman provinces at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main doctorate . After her habilitation in 2009, she was awarded the license to teach archeology and history of the Roman provinces. In 2016 he was re- qualified in Freiburg. Since 2001, she has been a research assistant and head of numerous research projects at home and abroad, initially mainly in the field of economic history , since 2010 mainly dealing with studies in the field of Latin epigraphy and questions about the perception and handling of risks in antiquity. Ehmig has been head of the Corpus Inscriptionum Latinarum project at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities since June 2018 .
