The União das Freguesias de Caminha (Matriz) e Vilarelho is a Portuguese municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( Concelho ) Caminha in northwest Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Caminha (Matriz) and Vilarelho . Caminha (Matriz) became the seat of the new administration.
