The União das Freguesias de Poiares e Canelas is a Portuguese municipality ( Freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) Peso da Régua in northern Portugal .

history

The municipality was created in the course of the regional reform of September 29, 2013 by merging the former municipalities of Poiares and Canelas .

Poiares became the seat of the new administration.
