Our planet (fountain sculpture)
The fountain sculpture Our Planet is in Bremen - center on the Domshof in front of the Deutsche Bank am Domshof . It is included in the list of fountains in the city of Bremen .
The bronze sculpture from 1996 comes from the sculptor Bernd Altenstein . The fountain sculpture has the shape of a globe . Motifs from human history are depicted in relief. The water pours from the northern pole of the globe, flows across the globe and is caught in a paved channel. The one and a half meter high globe fountain was erected in front of the Deutsche Bank after a thorough renovation of the Domshof.
From Altenstein there are still u. a. The end (1978) in the Wallanlagen , development in the Reeder-Bischoff-Straße , Waller Talks (1981) on the Wartburgplatz in Walle , Blockdieker Talks (1982) in Osterholz , cycle work (1985), relief in the interior of the Oberpostdirektion, working end Hands (1987) in Groepelingen on the market square, convalescence at the Bremen-Mitte Clinic , Four Seasons (sculpture ensemble) (1991) on the banks of the Hollersee near the Park Hotel Bremen and Fietje Balge (2001), behind the Schütting at the Bremen market square .
