Untermühle (Althaldensleben)
The Untermühle in the Althaldensleben district of the city of Haldensleben in Saxony-Anhalt is located south of the former farmyard of the monastery . In contrast to the Obermühle in Althaldensleben, it was also referred to as the "Big Mill". Today it is known as the “youth mill”.

The building is located at Neuhaldensleber Straße 46g on the former Beber Canal and the filled-in reservoir , which was previously also used as a fish pond .
Architecture and history
The flour mill was part of the monastery's economic area. It has a quarry stone ground floor and an upper floor in brick half-timbered construction . The roof of standing on a rectangular base mill is south hipped . After the renovation, co-financed by the local IFA Group , the baroque building is now used as a children's and youth facility by the Jugendmühle Althaldensleben eV association.
Monument protection
In the local register of monuments , the mill is registered as an architectural monument under registration number 094 84396 . For Althaldensleben, the building is considered to be an important building in terms of urban planning and economic history.
