Untereuhausen is a part of the municipality Weihmichl in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut .
location
Untereuhausen is located in the Hallertau in the valley of the Pfettrach about four kilometers northwest of Weihmichl on the federal highway 299 .
history
The village is first mentioned in 814 in the will of abbot Rihpald as Niuuinhusen . The abbot and Sussbach gave it to the St. Emmeram monastery in Regensburg with the request that it should never be given away. Untereuhausen later had the status of a Hofmark , whose owners were the same as those of Hofmark Furth . During the Thirty Years War , all the churches in the parish were broken into and robbed, and a visitation report from 1665 states that the altars in the parish church were still "injured".
Together with Oberneuhausen, Unterneuhausen has formed the community of Neuhausen since the community edict of 1818 . In the course of the municipal reform , the municipality of Neuhausen was given the new name Neuhausen b. Landshut . On July 1, 1972, the community of Stollnried joined, but on May 1, 1978, at the request of their citizens, the two old communities of Weihmichl and Neuhausen merged to form today's community of Weihmichl.
Attractions
- Parish Church of St. Laurentius . It goes back to a medieval church that was restored in 1589. Having become dilapidated around the middle of the 18th century, the master mason Felix Hirschstötter built the current baroque church. The two side altars are from the furnishings of the earlier church. The ceiling painting, which shows scenes from the life of St. Lawrence, the Evangelists and the Fathers of the Church, was painted by Ignaz Kauffmann in 1773.
- Neuhauser Schmankerlmarkt
- Rauhnacht . This custom, previously less known in the Hallertau, has been cultivated by the Neuhauser Perchten since 2005 .
traffic
Untereuhausen is located on the former Landshut – Rottenburg railway line , which has occasionally been used again since 2000 on the preserved section from Landshut to Unterneuhausen. In road traffic, the Neuhausen bypass is intended to relieve the districts of Ober- and Untereuhausen from the through traffic of the federal highway 299 .
