Stollnried is a district of the Weihmichl community in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1972 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The clustered village of Stollnried is located in the Hallertau about four kilometers northwest of Weihmichl.

history

The first mention of the place comes from the year 1137, when Count Heinrich von Roning donated an estate to Ride to the monastery of St. Kastulus zu Moosburg. The pilgrimage to the one from the 13th / 14th centuries was significant for the place. The pilgrimage church of the Assumption of Mary, which dates back to the 19th century. It is still visited today by individual groups of pilgrims.

The community of Stollnried initially belonged to the Pfaffenberg regional court , from 1838 to the new Rottenburg regional court and from 1862 to the district office and in 1939 to the Rottenburg an der Laaber district . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , it was transferred to the municipality of Neuhausen b. Landshut incorporated and came with this on May 1, 1978 to the community Weihmichl.

  • Branch and pilgrimage church of the Assumption . It is an early Gothic complex from the 13th and 14th centuries. The nave was expanded in 1847 and the choir in 1896. The miraculous image of the Mother of God is flanked by late Gothic figures of Saints John the Evangelist and John the Baptist. Votive offerings on the back remind of grateful believers who were able to receive help with their concerns.
  • To the north of Stollnried there is a water tower belonging to the Rottenburger Group water supply association. The tower was built in 1977 in sliding and prefabricated construction with a curtain wall. The elevated tank has a capacity of 500 cubic meters of drinking water.
