The Obmannschaft Plörnbach included the places Untermarchenbach, Mittermarchenbach, Hausmehring, Unterplörnbach and Oberplörnbach. In the course of the formation of the community after the second community edict, Plörnbach became a politically independent rural community in 1818. The village of Obermarchenbach with the deserted areas of Holzhäusl, Wälschbuch and Wörlhof was affiliated to the community of Plörnbach from the former Isareck rulership . With the municipal reform , the municipality of Plörnbach was dissolved on January 1, 1976 and incorporated into Haag an der Amper . In 1984 the municipality of Haag an der Amper changed the previously existing place names Ober- and Unterplörnbach to the place name Plörnbach, which has been valid since then .
