Beginnings until the 18th century

The village of Warnbach (also: Warinpach, Warenpach, Warmbach) consisted of the districts Oberwarnbach and Unterwarnbach. These were partly assessed separately in the tax lists partly together as Warnbach. Warnbach was listed in the oldest Bavarian Salbuch of the early 13th century as belonging to the Schwarzach office with three courts. In the land registers of 1413, 1444, 1473/75 it appeared as a place in the Nabburg care office. In the draft protocols of the years 1500, 1523, 1583, 1631, 1712 Warnbach was constantly listed with two teams each.

In 1606 the Nabburg office in Warnbach included 2 farms, 7 horses, 6 cows, 6 cattle, 1 pig and 2 youngsters. The castle estate Nabburg in 1630 in Warnbach included 2 farms, 4 estates, 1 house, 1 keeper, 18 oxen, 18 cows, 16 cattle, 4 calves, 4 pigs, 9 youngsters, 1 beehive and 3 goats.

At the end of the 18th century there were 6 hearths, a shepherd's house and a weaver in Warnbach.

19th century to the present

According to an ordinance of 1808, the district court of Neunburg vorm Wald was divided into 55 tax districts. Warnbach formed a tax district with the districts of Wölsendorf, Ober- and Unter-Warnbach. As a further step in the formation of political communities, chairmen were established around 1811 , including the chairmanship of Wölsendorf, to which Wölsendorf, Altfalter, Weiding, Warnbach, Dietstätt, Sindelsberg, Richt, Auhof and Sattelhof belonged.

In 1820 rural communities were formed. This created the rural community of Schwarzach, which consisted of the village of Schwarzach with 22 families, Warnbach with 10 families, Wölsendorf with 19 families, Richt with 7 families, Weiding with 13 families, Dietstätt with 9 families, Sindelsberg with 3 families and Sattelhof with one family .

Since 1828 Schwarzach near Nabburg formed a rural community together with the villages of Schwarzach, Warnbach and Wölsendorf. In 1828 Warnbach had 10 residential buildings, 10 families and 73 residents.

On March 23, 1913 (Easter), Unterwarnbach was listed as part of the Schwarzach parish with 6 houses and 30 residents. In 1964 there were 9 residential buildings and 54 residents in Warnbach. On December 31, 1990 Unterwarnbach had 12 residents and belonged to the parish of Schwarzach-Altfalter.
