The Upszar is a mountain in the Polish Middle Pieninen , a mountain range of the Pieninen , 655 meters high. It is in the Czorsztyn Pienines . Sometimes its height is also given as 678 meters. The peak is about 200 meters above the Dunajec valley and about 150 meters above the Jezioro Czorsztyńskie reservoir , to which it is directly adjacent. The dam was built in the southwest slope of the Upszar, at the point where the upper Dunajec breakthrough was previously.
