Upton is a municipality ( Municipalité ) in the regional county town of Acton in the Canadian province of Québec . The community of Upton was created on February 15, 1998 through the merger of the former places Upton and Saint-Éphrem-d'Upton . Mayor is Yves Croteau.

Upton is located about 75 km east of Montréal and about 170 km southwest of Québec on the banks of the Rivière Noire . Neighboring municipalities of Upton are Saint-Nazaire-d'Acton in the north, Saint-Théodore-d'Acton and Acton Vale in the east, Saint-Valérien-de-Milton in the south, Saint-Liboire in the west and Ste-Hélène-de-Bagot in the north-west.
