Acton is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .

It is located in the administrative region of Montérégie and consists of eight subordinate administrative units (a city, two municipalities, a cantonal municipality, a village and three districts). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1982. The main town is Acton Vale . The population is 15,342 and the area is 579.00 km², which corresponds to a population density of 26.5 inhabitants per km².
