In the 2004 season, the club ran into enormous financial problems and was unable to pay players' salaries for more than six months, which resulted in most players leaving the club. Uralan was transferred to the 2nd division , but since the club refused to play in this, a new club was founded, the FK Elista. In the south zone of the amateur league Elista was second in his first season and rose to the same division due to the expansion of the south zone of the 2nd division. In 2006, FK Elista withdrew its team from official game operations after 19 match days.
