Urbach is a district of the municipality of Menteroda in the Unstrut-Hainich district in Thuringia .

Urbach is located southeast of Menteroda and west of Ebeleben on state road 2047 and on the stream of the same name. The district is 333 m above sea level. NN .
history
The village was first mentioned on May 18, 876. The municipality assumes the year 874. The village was mentioned several times in later history. In 1792 it was destroyed by fire. The church of St. Johannis was built by the citizens from 1829 to 1841. Later activities were carried out to improve the living conditions in the village. Until 1918 Urbach belonged to the rule of the principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen .
On December 31, 2010, 319 people lived in the district.
