Urim ( Hebrew אורים) is a kibbutz located about 30 km west of Be'er Scheva in southern Israel with 493 inhabitants (2018). The border with the southern Gaza Strip runs ten kilometers west of Urim .

The kibbutz was founded on the night of October 5th to 6th, 1946, at the end of the Yom Kippur festival , as part of Operation 11 Points in the Negev desert .

The founders were mainly Jews from Bulgaria , the later settlers mostly came from North America .
