Urs C. Reinhardt

Urs C. Reinhardt (born September 27, 1931 - † August 12, 2015 ) was a Swiss editor-in-chief and politician ( CVP ).

Life

Urs C. Reinhardt completed his Matura in 1951 at the Disentis Abbey School and studied philosophy in Leuven, Belgium, as well as law and economics in Paris, Freiburg and Basel. He completed his law studies with a licentiate at the University of Freiburg i.Üe. from. He was a clerk at the Solothurn Higher Court and worked in a city law firm.

Reinhardt was from 1964 to 1978 editor of the Schweizer Rundschau and from 1969 to 1974 General Secretary of the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP). Between 1974 and 1978 he was principal of the school for social work in Solothurn and director of Union Druck + Verlag AG. He was director and editor-in-chief of the Swiss Political Correspondence (SPK) (1981–1991) and secretary of the SPK presidium (1991–1993). From 1993 to 2005 he was managing director and journalistic director of the association “Glaube + Wirtschaft” and from 1993 to 2009 he was also part-time editor-in-chief of the church journal for Roman Catholic parishes in the canton of Solothurn . From 1974 to 2009 he was President of the Curatorium of the Curative Education Institute at the University of Freiburg, and from 1991 also President of the Foundation for Curative Education Center and the Administrative Commission for the Regional School Service.

He had been a member since 1978, later Vice President and from 1991 to 2003 President of the University Council of the University of Friborg (Switzerland).

Most recently he lived in Feldbrunnen , Canton Solothurn .
