Ursuf ( Ukrainian and Russian Урзуф ) is a village on the coast of the Sea of Azov in the southwest of the Ukrainian Donetsk Oblast with about 2900 inhabitants (2004).
The village, founded in 1780, is located at the mouth of the 31 km long Selena ( Зелена ) in the Sea of Azov on the edge of the Ramsar reserve of the Bilossarajska Bay. Between 1946 and 1989 it was called Prymorske (Приморське).
Ursuf is the administrative center of the district council of the same name in Manhusch Rajon , to which the village of Babach-Tarama ( Бабах-Тарама ⊙ ) with about 120 inhabitants belongs.
Ursuf is located 18 km southwest of the urban-type settlement Yalta , 24 km southwest of the Manhush district center and 43 km southwest of the city of Mariupol .
