Ursula Kuri

Ursula Kuri (born September 27, 1935 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament from 1996 to 2001.

education and profession

Kuri attended elementary school, grammar school and a women's technical school in Freiburg. She then completed an apprenticeship as an HHT teacher and passed the second teaching examination in 1959. She worked as a teacher until the birth of her second child. Kuri is married and has five children.

Politics and volunteering

In 1989 she was elected deputy chairwoman of the Freiburg CDU district association and in 1994 to the local council. From 1996 to 2001 Kuri was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , in which she represented constituency 47 of Freiburg II. She was involved as a Catholic parish councilor and head of the educational center in the parish of St. Blasius and was chairwoman of the Parents' Council in Freiburg Schools for thirteen years. She was a member of the board of trustees of the state center for political education , of the craft academy and of the advisory board of the University of Freiburg .
