Live and act

Little is known about Ursula Nest. The younger sister of the silent film child star Loni Nest was in front of the camera in 1921 in The Minors at Her Side and then also appeared in at least two other silent films. Ursula Nest is only detectable again as a young adult when she returned to the camera with tiny roles between 1937 and early 1941. There is currently no evidence of theater activities in these years. In 1941 she became the mother of a son named Michael, after which she finally withdrew into private life.

After the war, Ursula Nest must have emigrated to the USA, and she settled in Palm Beach County with her husband William Otto Elzay (1903-1995). When Ursula Elzay, who lived in Boca Raton, died at the age of 89, a short, highly error-prone obituary appeared on May 3, 2007 in SunSentinel, which is published in South Florida. Her granddaughter is the New York artist Michelle Elzay (* 1973) from the marriage of Michael Elzay and his wife June Lauck (* 1944).
