Ursula Späth

Ursula Späth , née Heinle , (born November 9, 1937 in Giengen an der Brenz ) is a former German journalist and was the wife of Lothar Späth . She works on a voluntary basis for those affected by multiple sclerosis .

Life

She initially worked as a foreign correspondent. On August 18, 1962, she and Lothar Späth married. The marriage has two children. From the end of 2013 the couple lived separately.

Späth received the Bambi of Honor in 1987 for her commitment as patron of the DMSG -Landesverband Baden-Württemberg (there: Aktion Multiple Sklerose Krankenker (AMSEL) ) , the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class in 1999, the Merit Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg in 2004 , and the Great in 2007 Federal Cross of Merit and 2012 the Staufer Medal .

The “AMSEL-Förderkreis Ursula Späth-Preis” is named after her. It has been awarded annually since 1993 for special commitment in favor of people with MS in Baden-Württemberg.
