Usedomer Literature Prize

The Usedomer Literature Prize is an international literature prize that has been awarded since 2011 as part of the Usedomer Literature Days.

The Usedomer Literature Prize “annually honors writers who feel strongly committed to the European dialogue in the past and present” (according to self-portrayal). The award was donated in 2011 by the Usedomer Literature Days and the Usedomer Seetel Hotel Group. The endowment of 5,000 euros includes a four-week work stay in a grand hotel in Ahlbeck . The prize designed by the artists Ellen and Astrid Wölk is presented during the Literature Days in April.

The independent jury consists of Hellmuth Karasek (until 2015), Laura Karasek (since 2016), Andreas Kossert , Doris Lemmermeier (2011), Manfred Osten (since 2016), Denis Scheck (chairman), Thomas Schulz (until 2013).
