Laura Karasek (born April 29, 1982 in Hamburg ) is a German lawyer , author , radio and television presenter and columnist .

life and career

Karasek is the daughter of Armgard Seegers and Hellmuth Karasek ; her brother is the ProSieben reporter Niko Karasek. Her half-brothers are the theater director Daniel Karasek and the writer and journalist Manuel Karasek .

Laura Karasek studied law in Berlin , Paris and Frankfurt am Main and graduated with two distinctive exams. She lives in Frankfurt am Main and worked from 2011 to July 2018 as a lawyer in the corporate law firm Clifford Chance .

Karasek has been the mother of twins since summer 2015.

Publications

Karasek made her debut as a writer in 2012 with the romance novel Playful Years . From 2017 to 2018 she had her own radio broadcast on Antenne Frankfurt on Sundays . She also writes for Bild , Focus and Gala , among others .

From January 2017 to February 2019 Karasek wrote a column for stern.de . In May 2017 she wrote for Zaster vom Zukunftsfonds , the finance portal of former Bild editor-in-chief Kai Diekmann . In her own words, she treats her issues “from a feminist point of view”.

Karasek has been a guest at Markus Lanz , the Kölner Treff and in the ZDF television garden several times . 2015 she was a guest in the NDR telecast The story of an evening . On July 4, 2019, her talk show Zart am Limit premiered on ZDFneo . In November 2019, she was on the rate team of Genial Beside - Das Quiz . She also took part in the XXL edition of the show Asked - Hunted , which was broadcast in July 2020 . Karasek was a participant in the ProSieben show Who sees that ?! .
