Ustaoset is a place in the municipality of Hol in the province of Viken . It is located on the north bank of the Ustevatn and on Riksvei 7 in Ustedalen . The name is derived from the river Usteåne , which is the outflow of the Ustevatn . The Hallingskarvet mountain range extends north of the village . The village is known for the train station on the Bergenbane . It consists of 900 houses including a hotel and some mountain huts.
