Ute iron

Ute Eva Eisen (* 1961 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German Protestant theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school (1981) at the Taunus School , she studied theology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (1981–1983) / University of Hamburg (1983–1989). In 1989 she passed her theological exam at the EKHN . From 1989 to 1993 she was a research assistant in Hamburg with Henning Paulsen . After her doctorate (1994, summa cum laude) in Hamburg and habilitation (2003) in Heidelberg and Venia legendi for the theology of the New Testament, she has been teaching as a university professor for the Old Testament and New Testament at the University of Gießen / University of Frankfurt am Main since 2004 . From 1994 to 2002 she was a research assistant at the University of Kiel with Peter Lampe .

Her research areas are Gospels and Acts of the Apostles; Pauline letters; Social history of early Christianity; Literature criticism; Narratology; Gender studies; Feminism and the Bible; cultural interpretations and reception of the Bible and the Koran ; Bible and Film; Postmodern and Postcolonial Theories and Interreligious Dialogue.
